COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to introduce the student to the walk-through metal detector (WTMD) and hand-held metal detector (HHMD). It includes identification of the various models, when to use, safety considerations, operation, calibration, and proper scanning procedures. The classroom instruction and student-centered learning environment will provide the basis for development of the effective use of the WTMD.
This course is very effective at improving your security staff’s ability to detect threats and provides you with actual performance measurements that detail how effective your security operations are at detection threats.
The instructor travel cost is included in the course cost but for USA locations only.
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: Must be familiar with the checkpoint screening equipment
EQUIPMENT: Must have access to facilities screening equipment, SOP, and emergency action plan
TESTING: Written test
CERTIFICATE: Certificate of Training for x-ray image interpretation
