COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course is designed to train your staff on the most effective way to operate the Itemiser 2, Itemiser 3, or Itemiser DX Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems. These systems are used to identify traces of explosives and narcotics at security checkpoints. This interactive classroom and hands on course teaches the student how the system works to identify traces of explosives and narcotics. Each student will learn the core parts of the Itemiser ETD system. In addition, each student will learn the correct technique for taking samples, how to analyze samples, and how to clear contamination from the system and screening area.
The course is a combination of classroom and hands on training and will include practical exercise on the ETD system. Students will get to see test actual samples of explosives with our ETD training kit.
Course cost does NOT includes instructor travel and will be quoted separately and is based on GSA per Diem rates.
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: None
EQUIPMENT: Must have access to sites ETD system for hand on and practical exercises
TESTING: Written test and practical exercise the system
CERTIFICATE: Certificate of Training for Itemiser ETD operations
