Shoe Scanner Metal Detector

The SVS shoe scanner metal detector provides you the ability to screen shoe without having to make people remove their shoes. WTMD's cannot screen each shoe and will only tell you that the lower leg area alarmed. This system can check each shoe and tell you the amount of metal inside each on.

Scenario 1: A person's lower legs alarm in the WTMD. you scan them with the shoe scanner and see both shoes have the exact same metal content. This verifies that both shoes have a metal shank because the signal strength is the same for both shoes.

Scenario 2.  A person's lower legs alarm in the WTMD but when tested with the shoe scanner only one shoe alarms and the other does not. This is not normal and means the person has a metal item in their shoe that alarmed.

Scenario 3. A person's lower legs alarm in the WTMD and when tested with the shoe scanner one shoe has a stronger signal than the other. This shows that both shoes have a shoe shank, but one shoe has something added and needs to be checked.

This shoe scanner can be used as a mobile or fixed position for screening. The shoe scanner provides high sensitivity detection and mitigates Full body screening system blind spot in the foot area. The system is complementary to WTMD, MM wave and hand-held metal detectors. When the person steps on the shoe detector the amount of metal carried in the soles of shoes will be displayed. If the signal strength exceeds the alarm threshold the system immediately alarms and at the same time the left and right sides of the LED lights will signal which area where the metal objects were detected.  The number of LEDs show the amount of metal size, the security personnel can be timely determination of the prohibited metal items in the left shoe or in the right shoe.
